LILY PADS
I spotted this lily pond while on a backpacking
trip with my wife and daughter and felt it had
some photographic potential. I returned the
next weekend when the light was better. I quickly
composed and shot this image while knee deep
in pond water as I was being assaulted by hundreds
of mosquitoes. My brief battle against blood
loss and fleeting light resulted in a very rewarding
image, which contrasts a soft reflection of
conifer trees against sharply focused lily pads. |
