BITTERROOT
BLOSSOMS
During my wonderings in 2005, I discovered Bitteroot
flowers, a species I'd never encountered before
growing not far from the city of Bend. Their
delicate, glowing petals captivated me and I
immediately envisioned a scene similar to this
one. Unfortunately, these flowers have a brief
bloom season and I wasn't able to obtain the
picture I wanted. Early in the spring of 2006,
I returned to the same location and captured
this image, which I had envisioned the previous
year. |
