Beargrass
Bloom
This location was initially scouted by my friend
Troy who has a passion for exploring wilderness
areas. He suggested a quick trip to Coffin Mountain
as the beargrass was “peaking”.
Upon arrival the next evening, I realized that
Troy's usual enthusiasm for alpine locations
was perhaps understated in this instance. We
were greeted by a sea of beargrass and lupines.
As the distinctive blossom of the beargrass
plant is one of my favorite alpine flowers,
I went through a great deal of film that evening.
Selecting a favorite image from this location
has proven to be more difficult than composing
and exposing them was. |
