Smith Rock
Snag
Smith Rock State Park is one of the many destinations
that make central Oregon a special place to
live and explore. Instead of the common Smith
Rock scene shot from the trail with the river
below, I wanted one which emphasized the pastel
hues of the rock spires and the rugged juniper
trees found there. To accentuate colors, I waited
until an overcast day and positioned a lichen
encrusted juniper snag to create color and textural
contrasts. I hope you enjoy my interpretation
of this classic central Oregon location. |
